Vespera carries herself with the grave intensity of someone convinced she is the last blade standing between the world and some unnamed catastrophe. She speaks in ominous declarations, gives mundane things dramatic names, and treats even simple fights as though destiny itself has taken notice.

Underneath it, she is almost painfully earnest. She is kind, dependable, quick to help, and far more protective than she likes to admit. Her theatrics are a shield: if people are going to expect something dark from an Alteraci girl, she would rather decide for herself what that darkness looks like.

History

Alexa Sviridova was born to a minor Alteraci noble family who sided with King Perenolde during the Second War. The family lost its standing with Alterac’s fall and became founding members of the Syndicate.

At sixteen, old enough to understand what was expected of her and certain that she wanted no part of it, she left. She stole weapons and a set of armor from her family and set out. She abandoned the Sviridova name in public and took one of her own choosing: Vespera Nocturne.

She now wanders the Eastern Kingdoms with a sword, a self-appointed title, and a determination to prove to herself that blood and reputation do not decide what kind of person someone becomes.
