Coming of Age

Malachi was born in Stromguard on year 6 to Lord Mason Zerbe viscount of the eastern hinter, and Lady Catherine of Brightwood baronet of the crown. He lived a fairly privileged life in his father’s manor with the finest tudors one could afford.

It was at an early age his aptitude for magic was discovered and shortly after he was sent to Dalaran to study. He struggled in the city especially during the 3rd war as he missed the fields of the highlands and the fresh air not thick with arcane energies, and once the war was over he returned home and resumed his studies with a private tutor alongside the training his father insisted on to prepare him for his inheritance once day. “The kingdom of Storm needs strong leaders” his father would always say, and that truth was tested by fire and steel after King Thoras Trollbane was killed.

This tragedy prompted Malachi’s father to send all of his siblings and him south to Stormwind, fleeing on a ship just as his mother had fled there before he was born. They found themselves in odd company in Stormwind staying in the dwarven district with the Ironguard clan, an old ally of his fathers. And much to Malachi’s surprise his betrothed. But more on that later.

Malachi finished his training in the mage quarter a much more enjoyable atmosphere in his opinion and has decided to further his families renown and his own skills to volunteer for the militia at Northshire Abby
