[Established Lore] What the game has always held to be true.

Daily Life
Dwarves dig, forge, and drink. Not always in that order. Ironforge sits under the mountains and is built around its forges, and the people who live there are miners, smiths, and soldiers.
Defense is a way of life. Ironforge's mountaineers stand guard in towers across Dun Morogh and Loch Modan, and they have a standing war against the troggs [Game · NPC: Mountaineer Cobbleflint]. If you play a dwarf, you probably know someone who has fought one.
Clans and Titles
The clan is everything. A dwarf is a Bronzebeard, a Wildhammer, a Dark Iron, or something smaller, and that decides who your family is and who your enemies are. Leaders go by titles like King or High Thane. Falstad is High Thane of the Wildhammers [Game · Quest: To The Hinterlands].
And yes, the beards matter. Dwarven men always have them, and some of the women do too [Novel · Day of the Dragon].
Drink
The Thunderbrew Distillery near Kharanos is famous for its lager. Grimbooze Thunderbrew will happily send you out for hops and barley to keep the taps running [Game · Quest: Thunderbrew Lager].
Neighbors
Dwarves and gnomes share Dun Morogh and Ironforge, and the gnomes follow their dwarven cousins into the Alliance [WCII]. Humans share Stormwind's Dwarven District with them, and the Deeprun Tram makes the trip easy [Game · Zone: Deeprun Tram].
More to come soon.
